The Board is required to develop a strategic plan annually in accordance with the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2009.
The Strategic Plan is a public statement of how the Board will undertake its statutory obligations and contribute to the Government’s social and fiscal objectives during the period covered by the plan.
The Plan provides a statement as to why the Board exists as an entity, its direction for the future and in broad terms, how it intends to get there. It therefore identifies the core services of the Board and details goals, strategies and performance measures by which it can measure the standard of service delivery of its outputs.
The development of an effective strategic plan informs the activities of the Board, as it assists in assuring that these contribute to high-quality performance in undertaking statutory obligations, as well as to the priorities and direction of Government.
The Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2017, the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Regulation 2017 and the Government’s social and fiscal objectives for the State provide the framework within which the latest Strategic Plan has been developed.
The key result areas and corresponding goals, strategies and performance measures were formulated by members of the Board in consultation with the Minister for Education.
The Board publishes its annual report online. Each annual report deals with the activities of the Board for a financial year.
