Schools and governing bodies must notify the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB) of certain changes in circumstances within set timeframes.
Notify within 7 days
Governing bodies must notify us within 7 days if any of the following changes occur:
- the school closes
- the school stops offering an accredited year level (see attribute no longer applies)
- the governing body is impacted by control action under the Corporations Act
- the school starts operating for profit, if it is eligible for government funding.
Notify within 28 days
Governing bodies must notify us within 28 days of the following changes, including the required details:
- a person becomes a director (other than a declared director)
- a person is validly nominated as a director of the governing body (if it is an entity incorporated under the repealed Religious Educational and Charitable Institutions Act 1861)
- a person stops being a director.
To notify us of any of the above, complete a notification of change in circumstances form. Submit your completed notification through NSSAB online services or by emailing nssab.admin@qed.qld.gov.au. Request access to NSSAB online services if you would like a log-in account. If you cannot lodge the form electronically, mail a printout to us. Find our postal address.

Update details
If the name of a school or governing body is changing, submit a name change notification form.
You can update principal and school contact details by logging on to NSSAB online services. Request access to NSSAB online services if you do not have a log-in account.
