A student-intake day is the official date a school starts offering a specific type of education (primary, secondary or special) or year level.
Schools can have 1 or more student intake days depending on their accreditation, and these dates are approved during the accreditation application process.
If unexpected issues stop a school from opening or starting a new type of education or year level by the approved student intake day, the governing body must apply to us to change the date—even if it has been changed before.
Apply to change a relevant student-intake day
Governing bodies must apply to us to change a student intake day through Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB) online services at least 45 days before the approved student intake day. The application must include details about why the change is needed.
If something unexpected happens within the 45 days, we might accept late applications, but you'll need to provide extra proof explaining the situation.
