Revised Guideline for educational programs for non-state schools
The Non-State Schools Accreditation Board released a revised Guideline for educational programs for non-state schools in 2025.
The revised Guideline does not alter the purpose, the statement or philosophy and aims, nor the regulatory requirements applicable to educational programs.
The revised Guideline clarifies the statutory requirements for a non-state school’s written educational program under section 9 of the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Regulation 2017 and offers a framework to assist schools to demonstrate compliance and ensure the integrity of curriculum and learning outcomes for students are upheld.
Schools are encouraged to continue to adopt the revised Guideline and work with their staff towards successful implementation.
Schools will remain compliant with the statutory requirements whether they choose to follow the revised Guideline (2025) or the previous version (2020).
For questions, queries or further information regarding the Guideline, please contact the Board’s secretariat via email at nssab.admin@qed.qld.gov.au.
